Honestly speaking this is the first time I went out of my way to try to enter the professional field. Coming from a Computer Science background I felt like my life hit a dead end. I couldn’t find a job in what I studied and I had been looking for years. My Bachelor's degree felt worthless. Since then I did some research and started to practice my art. It has been a steady climb to try and match all the amazing artists who were years ahead of me. I’ve done commissions with random people online to try and practice my workflow. I have a twitch streamer who asks me personally to create artwork/ emotes for his channel. Which led to my first paying commission. I think I still have a long way to go but I feel like I'm making strides.
I'm currently volunteering my extra time to help create an indie game by the title of Downtrodden. We are in the beginning stages and are currently drawing placeholders for enemies and the MC as he roams around the MAP. Volunteering has taught me a lot of scope and the beginning process and work that comes from creating something from scratch. I hope to take that experience into the Professional world one day
